Allocations should be :

Confirmed sightings or information from reliable sources.

NOT :

Guesses / speculation.

Allocations based on something seen on an inbound service or other service on the same 'diagram', should be considered as Advance Info, not a Sighting.

Deleting of entries

Deleting of allocations should only take place where :

you know the information to be incorrect.
If you are unsure, leave a Note instead.
You are upgrading a Gen / Advanced info entry to confirmed Sighting.

We may resort to removing the note/allocation facility from users who don't follow these rules.

Confirmed / accurate and relevant information which supplements the allocation data, and which is of use/interest to other Railcam users.

It is NOT for :

Asking questions
Speculation
Location info which RCData already provides
Competing withn other users
General chit-chat
(We provide a chatroom and Facebook / Twitter channels for that)

Additionally :

Keep comments short and easily understood.
Don't repeat what has already been added by others
Less is more - don't "spam" with multiple notes
Never delete a Note unless it is wrong, offensive or breaks one of the other rules.
