Cameras require between 0.5 and 4Mb/sec. Some are more demanding than others. If your broadband can't support that sort of data throughput, you will struggle to watch many of our cameras. If someone else in your house is using the broadband for bandwidth-hungry applications like Netflix, iPlayer etc, that will also reduce the available capacity available to you.

Modern video standards require a modern browser. Railcam will not therefore work with old browsers or browsers which have not been updated for an extended period.

Internet Explorer will not work with the majority of our cameras. It hasn't been developed since 2012 and doesn't understand modern HTML5 standards.

Browsers which do work well, include Chrome, Edge (the newer version with the colourful icon), Firefox, Safari.
